Born in 1948
Nationality : Armenian

1973 : Graduided from the Yerevan Polytechnical Institute, Faculty of Architecture, with the qualification of an architect.

Since 1980 :Member of Armenian Union of Architects and International Association.

1985: Graduided from Moscow Institute of Architecture, with advanced certification in architecture and urban development.

1986: Defended dissertation (spok) "The Typology of Housing Environment" in Moscow Institute of Architecture. Awarded Doctor of Science Degree in Architecture.

1995 : Elected Assistant Professor of the Department of History and Theory of Achitecture at Yerevan Institute of Architecture and Construction.

1996 : Elected Academician Adviser to Armenian Academy of Architecture.

1998 :Elected associate member of RA Academy of Architecture.

1999 :Elected Professor of the National Academy of Aesthetics.

Since 1990: Founder and Director of Armenian National Museum-Institute of Architecture.

Since 2002: Member of International Association of Designers and Armenian Union of Designers.

Since 2003: Member of International Federation of Journalists and Armenian Union of Journalists.

Since 2003: Member of UNESCO-ICOMOS.

2004 : Exhibition of original art work presented.

Currently teaching at the Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction and at the
National Academy of Aesthetics.

Organized exhibitions in France, Greece, Portugal, USA, Russia, Italy, Armenia, dedicated to the theory, history of Armenian medieval architecture and the individual architectures.

The spheres of scientific researches are :
- the theory and the history of architecture and construction
- the research of Armenian architects` activity from foreign countries
- the protection of architectural heritage
- the subject of the thesis is "The symbolic way of thinking in architecture"
- Is the author of more than 150 scientific, publicizing and other publications of Armenian and foreign information means.
- Works on books "Chief Architect of Yerevan" and "The symbolic way of thinking in architecture", "Armenian Architects from Foreign Countries" and on the publication work such as the international magazine in two languages "Architect"
- Parallel the scientific-administrative activity is engaged in design and painting.
