Jim Torosyan: Master of Beauty

The exhibition "Jim Torosyan: Master of Beauty", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the renowned architect's birth, opened at the "Tamanyan" Exhibition Hall of the National Museum-Institute of Architecture after Alexander Tamanyan.

The opening remarks were delivered by the Museum-Institute's Director, Zaruhi Hayrapetyan, who emphasized Jim Torosyan's outstanding contribution to the history of 20th-century Armenian architecture, highlighting his exceptional talent, broad creative vision, and rich architectural legacy.

The exhibition's curator, Karen Balyan, then presented the concept and content of the exhibition, followed by a guided curatorial tour for the distinguished guests.

Among those attending the opening ceremony were Yeghiazar Vardanyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee of the Republic of Armenia; Tigran Avinyan, Mayor of Yerevan; Petros Petoyan, Head of the Kentron Administrative District; as well as numerous guests and representatives of the architectural community.

The exhibition features a selection of previously unexhibited original architectural designs from the collection of the National Museum-Institute of Architecture after Alexander Tamanyan, architectural sketches of monuments and city panoramas from the architect's family archive, and rare materials gathered from private collections.

The exhibition will remain open until 23 August.
